Inserting and Removing Sclera Contacts

These contacts are the Hollow Ichigo lenses from grimmbrothershalloween.com
They have great products, but I had not so great of service from them (coupled with less than satisfactory service from UPS—go Fed-Ex!). Order far ahead of time if you want them.
These are ALSO prescription contact lenses. They cost me approximately 300 dollars. I used them for my Inner Hollow Ichigo cosplay.
Keep them wet or they will be RUINED when not in usage. Check them now and again to make sure they haven’t dried out. Keep them clean—always make sure there is no makeup residue or equivalent on them from their last use.
Make sure to clean them before and after use with contact solution. I use AquaRefresh solution that was made for colored contacts. It works like a charm.

Please be careful if you have longer fingernails—you can seriously hurt your eye or damage the contacts. We don’t want that!
Make sure your hands are clean when putting them in and removing them.

Please keep in mind that these are not for everyone.  Sclera contacts can be very dangerous and damaging to your eyes if you don’t know what you’re doing.  Do not wear them for prolonged periods of time and do not let them dry out.

Inserting and Removing Circle Lens Contacts

Keys to putting in/wearing contacts:
Don’t be afraid of them!
If your hands shake, no big deal. You’re not going to stab your own eye out.
Trim your nails so that you do not scratch the lenses and/or your eyes when putting them in or taking them out.
Do NOT wear other lenses underneath them. It makes it so that your eyes can’t breathe.

These contacts are from www.pinkyparadise.com. They are the DollyEye contacts. Purchased for about 25 dollars a pair.

Contact Maintenance:
Keep wet with solution when not wearing. Change the solution every time you wear the contacts.
Clean the contacts frequently.
Make sure your hands are clean before you put them in or take them out.
If you accidentally drop your contacts, clean them off in the palm of your hand gently with solution before putting them in again.
Replace them relatively frequently.

Making Gifs from Videos! (For Mac, on Photoshop CS5)

I’ve had a couple requests about how I make gifs for my Ask-TheCaptor blog so I found some time this morning to throw together a quick tutorial on how to make gifs from videos on Photoshop CS5.

(I have a Macbook, so bear with me if you have a PC.  They layout for CS5 should be pretty much the same.)

The tutorial is below!
